Scanning Centres
Whichever of these services you wish to apply for you are likely to need scans in digital format. Cancer centres in particular may require very recent scans in order to make their assessments. Once you have your scans you can post them on a CD or upload them directly by internet to the centre concerned.
A1Med features some leading medical centres around the world, which offer services for diagnosis, second opinions or treatment for international patients: If you are concerned about an existing problem or want a scan as a precautionary measure, there are now many private scanning centres available which will offer this service.
As well as standard MRI, CT and PET scans, some centres offer specialised scans giving non-invasive diagnosis of a range of conditions, which have only recently become available.
Whether you need a referral or not will depend upon the type of scan and upon medical practice or law in your country, but the centres can advise on this.

UK scanning centres
We are currently in discussions with a UK scanning group with nine scanning and diagnostic centres in England and Wales. These offer:

Convention MRI, Open MRI, CT, mammography, ultrasound, bone densitometry, nuclear medicine and X-ray imaging.
Oncology, cardiac, breast, ear, nose and throat, gastrointestinal, gynaecological, musculoskeletal, neurological, thoracic and vascular imaging procedures.
High resolution 0.35T open MRI and high field 1.0T open MRI, which provides high quality imaging with the benefit of increased patient comfort, particularly for larger, frail, anxious or claustrophobic patients.
